BEES & HONEY
Did you know? We have bees!
Bees have been part of our operation since 2019 – helping to pollinate our crops and keep our flower patch looking beautiful all season long. Learn more about our bees and their honey below!
WHY BEES?
Sharing our farm with bees is just one of many ways that we steward the land and share in God's creation. Among other benefits, bees provide vital pollination to our produce and flowers, increase yields, support biodiversity, and help maintain a healthy, thriving ecosystem.
ABOUT OUR HONEY
At the end of the growing season, we harvest honey from our hives, which we sell in limited quantities at our Market and Fall Festival each year. The honey we harvest is pure, raw, and unprocessed - the best of local honey!
WHAT IF I'M ALLERGIC?
Our beehives are located in the corner of our farm, away from daily activity. Additionally, bees prefer to be out and about in the early morning and late evening hours – so staff, volunteers, and visitors are generally able to keep a friendly distance.
However, If you have severe/life threatening allergies to bees and still choose to come to the farm, we ask that you understand/assume the risk of being in an outdoor environment that includes bees, and come prepared for your visit.
